Syrian forces foil Daesh sabotage plan Damascus
1: The leadership of internal security in the Rif Dimashq Governorate thwarted a terrorist plot by a cell affiliated with the ISIS organization, which intended to carry out a sabotage operation targeting the capital Damascus. This was achieved through a tightly coordinated security operation executed with high precision in collaboration with the General Intelligence Directorate and in high-level coordination with the Turkish Intelligence Agency.
The operation was carried out following a precise intelligence follow-up that lasted for a period of time, during which the movements of the cell’s elements were monitored and their activities were tracked, until their location was precisely determined and a tight raid plan was devised, leading to the arrest of all members of the cell.
