In a video lasting seven minutes and 55 seconds, released by the group’s Umar Media, TTP leader Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud said he is alive and located in the Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, disputing reports that he was targeted in an airstrike on 9 October in Kabul. He stated that several areas in Khyber, including Qambar Khel and Kuki Khel, are under TTP control and denied allegations by Pakistani officials that India and the Afghan Taliban are supporting the group. He instructed his fighters to follow the group’s guidelines and to maintain positive relations with the local population.
