Puntland ISIS
1: Puntland Army and local people started operations against Daesh Somalia, and especially Puntland Daesh sleeper cells, to counter them in their own hideout areas.
2: In today’s operation in Ballade Valley, more than 11 fleeing ISIS terrorists were killed. They were expelled from newly discovered caves. Our brave forces are expanding their presence across the valley to put an end to the fleeing terrorists.
3: Today, our forces seized communication equipment and other supplies abandoned by fleeing ISIS terrorists during an operation in Qamaadi, Kal-Caanood, Alleelo-Yar, Alleelo-Weyn, Buruc Valley, and the surrounding areas of the Calmiskaad mountains.
4: Our forces conducting the clearance operation against fleeing ISIS terrorists in Almiskat have today seized medical supplies hidden by the terrorists inside caves. One by one, the hideouts are being cleared —many terrorists killed, others still being pursued.
5: Our forces have captured 2 fleeing ISIS terrorists attempting to secretly enter Bosaso. Both are Ethiopian nationals; one spoke limited Somali and claimed they escaped from ISIS. Each carried only dry food & a bottle of water.
