What is the European Union
The European Union (EU) is a unique political and economic partnership made up of 27 European countries. It was created to promote peace, economic cooperation, democracy, and the free movement of people, goods, services, and capital among its member states. The EU works through common laws and institutions while allowing each member country to remain sovereign.
Today, the European Union is one of the world’s largest economic blocs and plays a major role in international trade, environmental policy, human rights, scientific research, and global diplomacy.
